What is 'Woodland Creatures. Wild Souls'?

A twenty five year old killer brat who loses it with the full moon, her pet wolf plus her thirty five year old former-soldier boyfriend equals an explosive relationship. Add a colonel with his own agenda and his psycho mercenary man plus family drama, Alaskan myths and a bit of military thriller and...

ta-da! you get 'Woodland Creatures. Wild Souls'.

SYNOPSIS:

Calliope (Callie) Conway knows that her background would put any average killer to shame. She’s never felt any empathy towards the human race. Alaska is her homeland and life in its wild lands isn’t easy, but the worst part is facing her inner demons. To fight them she only has the help of Christopher and her amaroq, her animal soulmate, the oldest link between Mankind and wolves.

When Christopher Szilágyi left the American army for a job as a tour guide in the Alaskan woods, he never thought he’d end up falling in love with a sociopath whose murders he’d have to constantly avoid or cover up.

However, a meeting in Manhattan with an old army colleague will force them to leave their personal issues behind while they join forces to prevent the approval of a plan that would endanger thousands of innocent lives for the interests of a few.

In a world where almost all links with nature have been broken but the most primitive instincts of the human being prevail, who’s the real predator?

They all hide one inside, but only some will want to control it.

What's the project about?

(UPDATE: WE SUCCESFULLY FUNDED THE FIRST ISSUE THROUGH KICKSTARTER IN MAY 2019!  CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO).

Woodland Creatures. Almas Salvajes, by Spanish author Cristina Roswell, was published as a novel (in Spanish) in 2016.

Its good reception among readers contributed to the writing of a sequel (still ongoing), as well as its graphic novel adaptation. This is the website of the graphic novel, which is being created by the Spanish script-writer Rafael (Fali) Ruíz-Dávila, the Argentinian illustrator Tomás Aira and the author Cristina Roswell herself.

We have already developed and released the first 10 pages that we'll use as a sample to then try to make the rest happen (with your help) through a Kickstarter campaign (launching in May 2019). The graphic novel will be available both in Spanish and in English.
